Ministry Residency
A two year, full-time, salaried position aimed at developing senior leaders for ministry in the ACNA.

What does a resident do?
A resident will be trained and tasked with every aspect of leading a church. In addition to having meaningful staff responsibilities, he will also be apprenticed in all of the rector’s responsibilities as well as the other staff at CTK.
What will this residency offer uniquely?
CTK is committed to mothering a church planting movement, and we are uniquely equipped to raise up men for the work of church planting in our residency. Our clergy team is also large (7 clergy), with each member having a specialty. We are confident that we can give each resident a robust and well rounded training in the ministry.
Where does a resident live?
CTK just bought a house right next to the church where our residents will live! We are fixing up now. Fr. Tony (rector) and Fr. Tyler (associate rector) live just down the street.
What's the compensation?
The resident’s stipend will be determined by his experience, vocational status, and income needs. The range of annual stipend given by Christ the King will fall between $50,000 and $65,000, depending on the experience and income needs of the applicant. A 12% pension contribution will also be given if the resident is an ordained clergymen in the REC, or transfers into the REC during the residency. If the resident’s annual income needs exceed $65,000, he may raise additional funds, not from within Christ the King, and not to exceed $85,000 in total. If the resident raises additional funds, they will be reserved for his future ministry placement. If the resident will receive a pension, the pension contribution will be based on the amount given by Christ the King in the annual stipend, and not on the additional fundraising.
When does the residency start and end?
Our ideal start date is June 2025. As a two year residency, it would end in June 2027. We are flexible on the start date if the right applicant needs to start a few months before or after June 2025.
